Ultra High Capacity BluRay replacement

Sony and Panasonic are talking capacities of 300GB, 500GB, and 1TB.

With Ultra-HD looming, this may be necessary for folk like me who prefer buying media.

The new name, Archival Disc, shows they are marketing this not as a primary distribution model, as well. A smart nod to the realities of streaming video's success.

I've bought into the license locker streaming video model pretty heavily at this point and will probably continue to do so. This is especially true with the upcoming release of Common File Format downloads of UV content, which should eventually work with home media servers and HTPC systems.
