VUDU HDCP Issues

I've been compiling a small list of movies on VUDU. I haven't used it much except to confirm the video would stream.
With the addition of San Andreas, I decided to take a peek (at Alexandra Daddario) in HD. Watching on my home PC
I then got a message that it can't be displayed in HD unless both my display and source are HDCP compliant. So I'm forced to SD.

Is there a quick easy way to confirm which part is not HDCP compliant?
My monitor is connected via VGA cable.

I also found that I can not use my chromebook (samsung) and have it connected
to a relatively new LCD TV (bought about a year ago) via HDMI.

VGA is definitely not compliant. I have no idea if your Chromebook is compliant. Not all computers are, especially cheap ones. Also, not all movies on Vudu allow HD playback on Windows. Some only allow it on Android, iOS and set-top-boxes.

Reading the Vudu forums hardly anyone gets to see Vudu movies in HDX on computers.

My laptop is fully compliant, so a huge percentage of mine will play in HDX on it. I never do that though. Most of the time, we watch movies on Roku devices.
