Wireless subwoofer connections

Have any of you guys tried one of these setups recently? I seem to remember that this was discussed a few years ago in regards to FR limitations for main or surround speakers. Now there are several companies marketing these products for subs - SVS, Outlaw, Martin Logan - to name a few. They claim to be immune to interference from cordless 2.4 Ghz phones, microwave oven use, etc., with low latency and decent response in the frequency range for subs. In fact, some subs are now on the market with wireless built in. Primary sales pitch relates to optimum sub placement in room without wiring run issues. Thoughts?

Once they make cordless AC power supply then yes, they have really solved the wiring run issues.

I got my folks a soundbar that had a wireless sub. Far as I know they have not had any problem with the sub picking up errant signals from other devices. They are completely happy with their set up now.

I use a $7,000.00 power cable and WOW does it make a difference!!!!!

I have an Outlaw OAW3. When I first hooked it up to a sub at the front of my room it worked fine. However, when I hooked it up to the sub in the back corner of the room, a location that I didn't think to pre-wire when building the HT :doh: , it introduced a ground loop hum.

Most likely due to different power outlet, not due to being a wireless sub.
