Wolverine: Chasing the Phantom

Just finished watching a PBS special on these guys. Great show!
The wolverine is a mammal that is kind've a cross between a weasel, and a grizzly bear; about the same size and disposition as a badger, but much more active/mobile/fast! As far as I know there's only three mammals in North America I haven't seen in the wild: Dall sheep, Musk Ox, and the Wolverine. There was some great video of them in the wild on this show. One biologist had been chasing them for her entire 30-year career, and had only seen them four times (in Alaska!). Another guy happened upon a den where a mom gave birth to two, and then died. He raised the two, it looked like quite a task but the video/stories are great!
Highly recommended if you're into this kind of thing. :handgestures-thumbup:

I watched it with my son tonight really found it interesting. Ive had several encounters with badgers while working and hunting I keep a good distance between them. As much as Id like to see a Wolverine I think Id just soon do it on TV.

I was amazed that they can keep a constant 4 mph gait no matter the terrain or weather conditions from 10" legs. Thats picking them up and putting them down in some of that mountainous terrain they like.
