hey Heeman, thought for you ! These new led strings. In the past I added them to some of my live sound cabinets to make the plugging and unplugging easier because I could see in the dark.

Are professional studio monitors only for near field listening ?
That depends on the design of the speakers they will typically say in the marketing if they are Near Field.
