Streamed the Planet Earth series from Netflix in 4k or UHD and it was amazing. I have only watched John Wick and Gladiator from a 4k Blu-ray disk; Gladiator was underwhelming, I assume older movies will be like that since the format wasn't around at the time of release? I am loving the TV...

For what its worth; I just got a 55" Samsung QLED Q8FN and I love it! Especially now that I got all components playing nicely together. See "there has got to be a better way" thread in this section.

Update: It Worked! The Amazon fire tv connected to Marantz SR6008 via HDMI 2.2 Monitor out HDMI 2.2 from Marantz to TV (not ARC input on tv). I can now see receiver menus without exiting the source. I just have everything set to passthrough and auto audio. I get 4k UHD on Netflix, Prime...

Have you tried a HDMI splitter?

If I run all the HDMI cables into the receiver and a HDMI 2.2 out to the TV; I am going to lose something right? audio formats, video quality? Even if it does 4k pass-through.

Update... I went and looked/listened to this set up and it sounded good without any issues. I bought'em! Now I got my marantz nr1403 and a pair of Elac Debut b6 for sale to cover this purchase. I think it'll be a nice set up for the space I have in our coverted garage

They are still hooked up; I would not buy without checking everything out!
