HBO Max is free to ATT TV Now subscribers. There’s a few hoops to jump through to activate it though as I had to use my wireless account credentials which are different than my ATT Now credentials which I found odd to say the least.

I’d be up for that some day when this shitstorm is over.

I haven‘t kept up on the THX specifications over the years, but if you had a THX certified sub you’d know it for sure as it would have the THX logo right on the front of it. It may very well meet or exceed the requirements but the MFR didn’t choose to get certified for whatever reason...
