    Some changes

It's funny, I actually bought that VCR at the time DVD players were first hitting the shelves. I was torn between it and a DVD player. It's a high end model and when I bought it crutchfield had marked it way down. I hooked it up recently because it fit on my shelf, looks pretty damn good, and we...

    Marantz SR6009 DAC?

They might be Burr Browns, same as in Denon. Well at least that's what Denon used years back. If so the Dac is the least of your worries.

My Experience with Local Audiophile Dream System

Audio bliss is so subjective and multi faceted that it's insane to try and follow anyones rules to a tee. Nearly everything should be thought of as a suggestion or jumping off point only. Listen, learn, then shape it to what puts a smile on your face.

    Homecoming, anyone watching?

We stopped watching it. When I was watching it I did so downstairs on my tiny soundbar system. We had a house guest for 2 months. When I get home I'll give it a listen.

Flint Acoustics: Rocketman Loudspeaker (one off build)

I would say you really didn't wait long enough for the break in period. It's a proven scientific fact that speakers do not break in until after your 90 day return policy for most credit cards so 91 days of use is the correct break in time.

What vocalist would you choose to be?

Not at all, must be 6 people in Helsinki who know him. :)

What vocalist would you choose to be?

Shit Babs I'm just jealous of people who can talk! :) Let's see....so many great choices already mentioned. I've always thought Lou Grahm and Paul Roger's had some of the best voices for Rock music. Also a major fan of Steve Perry's voice. Thinking i'll go with Stevey Perry.

What vocalist would you choose to be?

It depends. We talking about from purely a vocal stand point, a career, performers over all life? Please clarify.

Accuracy versus Alterations to suit our Tastes: Why do we do this?

I'll always choose the best sounding version of a loved piece of music. Just like I enjoy HD over standard TV. In fact I find it odd that you enjoy poorly recorded music. I also enjoy the energy of live performances, thus I like my bass about 2-3db high in most cases. I find doing this gets me...
