I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
I think you can probably divide the bandwidth between the lowest and highest note limits of musical instruments, so that the "mid" range has a fairly equal value of frequency span above it's upper and below it's lower limit.
Or something like that. ;)
Is the dual midrange center channel lobing issue exclusive to those designs that have each midrange driver producing identical frequencies in phase? Or does it even matter.
That was just the first example I came across...there's always a lot more. Thanks for the heads up Randy, I wouldn't want to sway anybody toward a bad deal.
I took some pieces of those pads designed for furniture moving and put them under mine. These are the exact ones I used...there's a bijillion different designs for these things but only one I've found with a type of rubberized polymer backing (I think) instead of plastic...
What would it take, acoustic treatment wise anyway, to cure modes at around 38, 50, 96, and 106Hz? They aren't really terrible, the worst is @96Hz going 6dB above reference.
Does anybody have any experience with Crest Audio amps? They're high power on the cheap, is there a big catch? I'm not really keen on how to completely interpret the data on them (I know little to nothing about amps) except for any S/N ratio which I didn't see listed.
Do you think this thing is going to sell without at least having some kind of performance data included? Jeez...maybe he doesn't really want it to go!

I used a standing full length mirror and a laser pointer. It takes only one person and it can show you how large of an area your panel will be effective for.
His reply was actually rather kind of condescending...maybe he should have referred to a dictionary before using the word "esoteric." He makes his remark sound like he thinks his readers are dumb.
Edit: Damn! Ok, I just dd a couple of people in my office and it made me dizzy listening to moderate levels of higher frequencies (14000 and above). So please be careful playing with this.
