Updated 1000 line, SVS SB1000 pro and PB1000 pro

What is the consensus on the best bang for buck sub manufacturer out there these days? Is it HSU?

Updated 1000 line, SVS SB1000 pro and PB1000 pro

I really like the HSU sub that I have in my basement. If they sold them thru Amazon or Best Buy (where I have these gift cards lying around) I probably would have already ordered one. Maybe I should look into selling these gift cards....

Updated 1000 line, SVS SB1000 pro and PB1000 pro

I have a few hundred dollars in gift cards that I need to use and have been struggling to decide what to buy. A new sub has entered my mind more than once. These new subs have me thinking....

    Time for a change?

That seems like good news to me. I'd be so tempted to get ears on it that I probably would have proceeded with less caution...but you are wiser than I :) I've seen Hegel a few times on the internet but I don't know much about them. Have they been around a long time? What is the...

    Time for a change?

@CMonster ... A follow up thought...I will be interested to hear your thoughts after spending time with the 77" OLED. I'm particularly curious if the new screen causes you to spend more time on that setup vs. the theater room. I have been entertaining the idea of moving away from the projector...

That's awesome! But yeah, you do suck. Pics of this whole new Evoke/OLED setup when it's all setup...sounds killer.

    PS5 anyone?

My company is a small consulting company and we are a Gold Microsoft partner. So this gift was a no-brainer for management. We have deep contacts in MSFT and with hardware distribution vendors but they are still struggling to source the ~40 of these units to send out. The company president...

    PS5 anyone?

Early impressions with the PS5 quite strong. The new interface is great. New controller is awesome. Everything runs great and looks great. I imagine this console will be a huge success. Side note, my company holiday gift to all the employees...Xbox Series X. I don’t have it yet but they...

    PS5 anyone?

This is going under the Christmas tree, so unfortunately I won’t be able to to share my thoughts on it until then. I need to pick a game or two.

    PS5 anyone?

It was a complete fluke. I got one at Walmart. They had just pulled it off the truck and it was sitting at the register being guarded by an employee. She was instructed to stand at the register with it until someone asked to buy it. She’d been standing there for 10 mins she said. Edit with...

    Time for a change?

Chuck, I think that makes a whole lot of sense. The C1s are under utilized on surround duty IMO. Take a look at the Evoke line from Dynaudio to replace them in the HT. I've read great things about them.

    Portable Wi-Fi Music Player

If you want battery powered I’ve been happy with my Libratone Zip speaker. If you can live with a power cord I really like my Bluesound speaker. A little pricey new but can be found used.
