I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
While this is an older thread, I wanted to give my 2ct's worth. I really liked the movie a lot, some comments out there said this was Emo Batman. Well the guy who beats up criminals by night and was also the well adjusted billionaire playboy by day. Doesn't really make a lot of sense, a darker...
Hey Pauly, whatever happened to Flint/Franklin awhile back. I saw him post thing about a trip to Las Vegas and I tried to look it up again recently and couldn't find it. Or any post since then?

Thanks Mazer, for the post. I have not heard these yet so can't compare them to my JBL 4367's
Thanks for the post Flint, I never did buy into the Spikes are best theory. Just never made sense from my understanding of basic physics. I I never thought about it being commonplace in pro audio. I bought some sorbothane hemisphere's last year but have not installed them yet.

Not so much a reflection on Bose, as to the increase in buying products online.
On the other hand it is Dipole Bass, which has less impact than bass reflex or sealed woofers. As an example my old desktop hybrid planer (Monsoon) satellites, had a sealed sub. It would cause my neighbor to bang on the wall even at moderate levels, I upgraded about three years ago to an all...
This black looking Triangle tower is the woofer module, four 6 1/12" bass drivers per side in a V shape configuration, open baffle. 1k watt of active DSP power that can be EQ'd for the room.
This video does a better job than I can do explaining things with better pics.
First off much thanks to our host Quintessence Audio of Morton Grove IL, they were very nice and put out a great spread of food and drinks. Their rooms are much more acoustically treated the last time I was there four years ago which I appreciated.
I would like to tell my story by repeating...
Since I worship at the house of imaging/soundstage, I find that truly impressive. Bravo Franklin, or maybe I should be congratulating Flint Acoustic's your speaker manufacturer.
Well, that was interesting. The live recording on the cell phone camera, sounded pretty good. Then you have the playback of the 78 mmmmm, let me see here. You have high surface noise, sound seems very compressed (but hey it's done un-amplified analog so it must be good), various noises coming...

Well CMonster if you don't have the pocket change for Tidal's $215k Akira speaker in your pic you can, you can...
Finally I heard the Huge Magnepan 30.7s, soundstage was very big. It's mid bass is supposed to be the gold standard or such was said about their older discontinued model the Tympani. I wasn't feeling it, I was missing the impact of my JBL's 15" woofer. I liked the soundstage of the LRS better...
Didn't really get a chance to hear the YG Acoustics subwoofer or the Von Schwiekart's.
For me that sound of not being a speaker and the performer being in the room with you. Went to two planer speakers, an old mostly original pair of electrostatic Quad 57's just so clear and pure sounding...
Well here is a really overdue update to this thread, I finally heard Legacy Audio and Wilson Audio. Sound pretty good at a show I would have liked to played around with toe in both sets of speakers, in case they were set up for a large audience especially the Wilsons. Also the Legacy's I heard...
McIntosh, Klipsch's new K-Horn was there, B&W had their new wireless speaker technology and Bose of course, Martin Logan sounded the best to me playing Fleetwood Mac. Oh they also had a very nice fish tank. To enter the raffle you had to have five manufacturers sign some little pamphlet they...
