    Gurus ...please advise

Hi John ... the present D/AC reads HDCD which I like – hence a digital out in player is required – I do agree with dedicated player for the same reason you described – soundhound recommendation is a good one however it would be a waste since it wouldn’t be utilized for HT or HI-REZ.

    Gurus ...please advise

The old Parasound Transport is now only reading 50% of CD’s – The old Parasound D/AC features 20 bit Ultra Analog 20400A dual digital filter to analog converter - what do you suggest I should be considering in new Transport or all in one player with digital out? Have D/AC chips changed...

FLINT: Standing waves and room acoustics

My space is 27 x 28 x 8 not ideal – on the second acoustics go around built 34" wide Superchunks on all 4 corners - all absorbers (16) are 4” / 6” thick 3 in ceiling – plus the 12 diffusers behind the speakers – must say the 2 channel Maggie’s never sounded better especially after placement...

Any issues with previews on Blu-ray discs?

All of the above is true – And let’s not forget how speedy they are at loading or responding to remote command – surely in the 21st century there’s no excuse for such clunkers.

    CLASSICAL Music

Just heard the best Barber Adagio by Tokyo String Quartet on Public Radio - slower, bigger, beautiful husky violas impossible to confuse with violins - Also found the only Carmina Burana approved by Orff himself – I have the Kegel version on vinyl it's ok but ... reviews indicate this is the...

Thank you Rope. Only a true aficionado recognizes the rewards obtained in fine tuning the room/system to its maximum limits. Correction if I may on a common assumption – Maggie’s are Magneplanars not Electrostatic speakers – I believe you already knew that merely a slip – for clarity to...

    Maggie Up-Date

I previously mentioned Stud Gliders on another thread - these little guys have replaced the spikes that came with the Maggie stands - little gliders have simplified the placement/moving of the Maggies on carpet to sheer delight - tiny incremental moves that were once awkward and never quite...
