I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
We started Reacher on Prime…..made it through 6/8 episodes. Not bad. I recall Jeff Mackwood talking about the Tom Cruise movies and Cruise and his stature not fitting the description of the character in the books. Alan Ritchson (Smallville, Titans) sure is a big dude and he definitely has a no...
Well, I agree episodes 5 & 6 were stark improvements. And it basically took two The Mandalorian set up episodes to get peoples attention. The creative team DID imo manage to make Boba Fett uncool. It’s a shame, the writing and story are subpar and Temuera Morrison is not capable of being a lead...
It’s a serious waste of time for most, unless you watch your entire library 100s of times over. todays digital copies are more than sufficient for everything but blockbuster action, or sci-if type movies and if they’re not, why wouldn’t you want to pop in the disc to get the best possible...
Just left the theater after viewing American Underdog. Really well done, I’m not sure how glorified the story was for cinema, but Catherine and I really enjoyed it.
I’m talking more about Star Wars movies as a whole in more general terms. I think the Disney + stuff so far is pretty good but a larger convergence of past series is coming with Ahsoka, Obi-wan and I’m sure other future projects.
What always disappoints me about SW in general is that they’re frequently making things up as they go along. In the sense that prior to the original trilogy, a massive library of source material didn’t exist, a la Harry Potter, GoT and so on, and I think particularly with the prequels and...
In these types of genres, usually the main character(s) operate by some sort of code. While Boba Fett is a bounty Hunter he’s not a true Mandalorian. I think we’re still learning the code he abides by. The creators and writers have to be careful with this particular character, they have to...
Even more unlikely with Marvel now being under the Disney umbrella and this series being on Disney+. But if they can push the envelope like they do with the Star Wars material, it should be fine.
if I said my son Daniel was FUCKING STOKED that still wouldn’t cover his level of excitement. I’m sure I’ll watch it with him, I’m definitely intrigued.
Pattinson’s evolution as an actor has been positive, unfortunately skewed because he collected a nice paycheck in a garbage franchise. So has Deniro and every other actor on the planet.
Just finished, didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. I don’t feel like I wasted 2+ hours but I also don‘t have anywhere near the feeling I had after seeing the original. That’s a tall order for any sequel to something groundbreaking.
