I want to get a TV for the bedroom and I don’t want to spend a whole lot so say under $500. Well I went to Best Buy‘s today and I found TCL, Toshiba, insignia, and for all about the same price. I think maybe Sam son was in that price range I know Sony was not. Which monitor will I get the best...
You guys are gonna love this. I found a Klipsch subwoofer at Costco for $189.99. I was able to listen to it to me it sounded great of course the subwoofer I have now I bought back in 1994 maybe 95.What I’m asking is if I am an idiot for thinking about purchasing it?
You're not just buying a...
I watched the trailer for Warrior Nun a couple of days ago...now I will have to watch it. I am very far behind just started Better Call Saul I am in the 4th season, really like the show. Tin Star sounds good as well.
You are right I will try it if the opportunity presents itself again. And I am sure it will.
So, tonight I am watching a show and everything was going great, the picture was good, the sound right on, but wait.............I think it could be just a little better. There is a little more dialog...
I do the same, my wife pointed out that I was a perfectionist, I disagreed. Then started paying attention to how much effort I would spend on something and when I was finished it didn’t change anything that anyone noticed. Except me.
You are right it is a destructive trait that waste time and...
I live in a townhouse with thick firewalls plus insulation between the units. The other day the neighbor next to me asked, "Are you watching movies we hear a lot of rumbling around the walls." I have turned things down a bit.
Your right, my problem is I want it to be perfect - PERFECT and so I keep fiddling with it. Then I get it all screwed up and wonder what happened. So I am going to use the Audyssey Dyanmic EQ setup then tweak with my sound meter. Then I will do my best to not screw with it again. At least...
I have an Integra also, that is where I came across the THX setting. What settings do you use? I am attempting find the best all around settings for home theater, when I listen to music I just switch to stereo most of the time.
Now that I have my amp back I decided to go through and reset my prepro mostly fine tuning the audio. I got into the settings for THX and decided why not? So I activated it, however there was one question I didn't understand why it was there.......do you have a THX sub? What is that? I bought...
This is very difficult to write, admit, be honest about, when I would much rather, not lie, but expand on the truth. The Amp was ready, but the tech wanted to go through something with me. When I got there the tech told me there was nothing wrong with the amp. Together we went through each...
I agree. When something new either in audio or video the prices are high the first year or two. Then the prices start dropping since the new format is easier and cheaper to get. When a new product is introduced for an example Atmos surround-sound originally developed in 2012. I believe Dolby...
I have been curious about something while and thought I would ask the guys that know.
If I purchased a piece of new equipment 5 years ago and paid $2,000 - $3,000 and purchased the same type, brand, number of channels new today for $500 - $1,000 how would the two compare as far as performance...
Still waiting for my amp - I should have looked into purchasing a new one, but they would most likely be more then I would want to pay. So I sit, going on week 4.
I took it to the doctor here in town. I am hoping to get it back by this weekend but they said it may take two weeks. I have looked at my shelving unit and I’m wondering if I had a shelf to close to the amp. When I pulled the amp it was hot to hot, so I have completely rearranged the unit. I’m...
That makes sense. I tried running the HDMI from the TV to the Roku bypassing the prepro, I had video but no audio. The Roku is HDMI only and doesn't have analog connections, I looked earlier. Thanks for the suggestions,
I have a integra processor with Roku as my source. I didn’t have a problem gettping sound via tv when I was on directv/cable. But with the Roku I Can’t get sound from the tv I even pulled all the audio jacks from the prepro still nothing. I was using the the TV remote to control the volume.
I took the amp to the doctor they said it could be up to two weeks before I get it back. How do I bypass the audio on the prepro and get audio directly from the TV. I know I have done it before, but right now whatever I do nothing works, no sound from the TV.
