    Moving from Directv and Cable

Okay, I am wanting to move away from Directv, but I am not sure how to do that and still see the programs I want. I am a big football fan, so if I cut ties with all providers, how do I watch my games? I will get Hulu, Netflix, Amazon and whatever else I need............but they do not...

So what would be the tolal cost to build a subwoofer? Would it have all of the bells and whistles the big boys have?

    Internet Streaming Device comparison chart

Me too. I did a lot of research since I am planning to move from Directv to streaming most everything. Roku seemed to be the most versatile. But what do I know?

I appreciate the offer, but I live in a townhouse and share common walls. My neighbors are on the narrow minded side and most likely wouldn't appreciate a nice deep rumble, going through their ceilings. Just sayin. Has anyone built a nice sub? I don't know that I would be capable of doing...

I do want the best bass performance on the planet. The problem is my media room is in the basement, and I live in a townhouse. My neighbors are very narrow minded, and most likely would object to having "free" fine bass, even the best on this planet, and most definitely the best in the our...

    Roku 4

I am getting 5.1 audio on most everything. I set the Roku 4 to auto...now I run everything through a prepro. We watched Stay'n Alive the other night and the sound was great. Have you tried connecting directly to your TV? I would think the Roku would pull down whatever audio is being...

    Roku 4

I logged in, registered without any issues. What bothered me was Hulu, HBO, Showtime all appeared in the menu. Sometimes, I am not patient enough....this was one of those times. I think all is well. I think all is well? I think all is well!! LOL

Thank you for keeping it over simplistic. I am not sure I understand what you said. But, I thank you for trying to help me understand. Heh, sorry, I tried to take the easy way out by quoting another site. How about this: raw bass driver (no enclosure) mounted to wall and firing into...

    Roku 4

Okay, I just hooked up my Roku 4, that was a very easy task. My question, is most everything you can download or play on the Roku for pay? I thought you could access lots of free channels. How do you know if you are paying for a service? I have Netflix, that is great and I enjoy it...

It takes a while to build a good system, unless you have extremely deep pockets. What is so fascinating, is that as much as I enjoy the system I am building, when I try to tell people about it, their eyes glaze over.

My mains are excellent and will be with me for many years to come. Now if a good sub will do what you said, then perhaps you are right, I need to look at subs. The problem is, there isn't any place near me sells good anything much less subs, so I can't listen to them. So rather then take a...

If I remember SVS was privately owned by a company in Ohio, Youngstown, I think. Then it was sold to a Canadian company? I did not realize the quality had deteriorated. Thanks for letting me know. My problem is I don't understand how a new sub will enhance my listening experience. Isn't one...

LOL - my amp was released in 1998 - Amplifier Technologies AT1505 - I bought it used a few years ago, but it delivers. I have thought about replacing it a few times, but when I try to justify it to myself, I just can't do it. Now if I was rolling in cash....... The thing is I don't buy...

You made a big step up with your Silvers, they are sweet and have such pure sound. A friend of mine had the silvers that was how I was introduced to Monitor Audio. It is interesting not that many are familiar with the speakers and they are so sweet, with a very wide range.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this or not. If not I am sure someone will be kind enough to move it. I have to tell someone, and none of my friends, associates, or anyone I know, understands or cares. In fact they think I am crazy for spending money on speakers other than...
