Hi guys,I just returned from my first auditioning foray. Today I
compared a pair of Revel Performa 32's vs. the Vandersteen 3A
Signatures. I spent about 90 min. auditioning both with several cd's I
brought and Dave Brubeck's Time Out which happened to be in the listening room.

I would be about 8-10 ft. away from the speakers. I have no choice to be not more than a foot or so from the rear wall.
I did see those PSB's on Audiogon, however I do not want to risk having the speakers shipped. Also I don't want to buy anything I cannot hear first.

Does anyone have any experience or opinions on Legacy Audio.
I am looking to spend the entire upgrade budget on speakers. If I need to add amplifiers for passive speakers, I do have a pair of Audiosource 70w monoblocks that can be used until I discern that something better is required.
I have been bitten by the upgrade bug.
My current speakers are Mackie HR 824MKII's.
Pre-Amp is a Pro-Ject Pre Box.
Subwoofer is a SVS 20-39 PC+ driven by a Paradigm X-30 crossover.
Main playback source is A Oppo BDP-83
My room is small at approx. 220 sq/ft.
My budget is up to approx...
