Sorry, I just don't agree. But I did watch it on my 75" TV from AT&T and I had the whole house dark. And for the audio, I didn't have issue either. I will rewatch tomorrow night again to see but I had it turned way up and no issue with dialogue. Granted I do have a monster of a center.

I watched the show in the dark minus the bias lighting on the back of my TV. It was dark but not to the level of complaints. I'm wondering if the streaming was an issue due to compression. My AT&T Uverse seemed okay. Audio was good IMO too.

Yes, there is no need to get expensive speakers for Atmos duties.

First, I would look at accessories for less for a refurbished unit. Going 9 overall channels isn't super expensive. It gets that way once you go 11 and 13. For those that I've heard from, 2 height channels isn't as good as 4 because 4 provides the panning from front to back.

Interesting theories and makes sense. But I need to stay away from this post if people are reading too much on future shows and leaks and theories. Messing it up a bit for me

Okay I figured out one aspect which I wouldn't have noted since you need to hit Info on the Yamaha AV remote. This toggles the text from input , decoder setting and other. I used my harmony for activities so the info button was for the Blu Ray or TV, contingent on macro. But I did note the UHD...

Okay, so I started messing with the output settings for audio on the Sony X1000-ES and everything is working and I'm seeing Dolby TrueHD when I play Atmos (receiver doesn't do Atmos) and DTS HD when playing that. Now cable box programs show Dolby Digital and Netflix and Amazon with Dolby...

I had not seen the PCM, Dolby Digital, etc display on my receiver since owning it. Now when I play a UHD disc on my Sony X1000ES I can't figure out why it indicates PCM. I didn't change the settings that I'm aware of. Now the decoder shows PLIIx. Annoyed right now

I still buy from time to time now on UHD. The streaming audio and video quality of movies isn't there yet imo
