Okay it has taken me a bit but I finally took down the speakers and mounts so I could drill a hole in them wide enough to accommodate a 1/4" bolt. I used a 9/32" drill bit and drilled in the existing smaller hole on the back of the base plate. The bolt fits perfectly and the 1/4" bolt screws...

We watched 2 episodes last night on Blu-ray and I really enjoyed the Atmos soundtrack. I realize I don't have the full Atmos array but my rear backs were involved along with the side surrounds. The rain and thunder was very nice.
