    Game Choice

My local CBS feed has been pretty good. Sad to say, even though the HT is downstairs, I like watching the ball games upstairs. I like windows and seeing outside (the weather's been nice), and I don't have that luxury in the basement where the HT is located. On another note........... I'm not...

Reel to Reel is the New Vinyl

I remember the plate I had at this Mexican restaurant one time. Wow and flutter indeed, followed by a few pinch rollers Too much?? EDIT:Whoops...forgot the emoticon. :happy-smileygiantred:

Reel to Reel is the New Vinyl

:laughing-rolling: $450 is reasonable? Seriously? I seriously doubt it's going to sound $440 better than my $10 CD.

    Awesome mix tape volume 1.

Or your own for that matter. I remember back in the 80s, going through three copies of Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime on cassette. I had (for the time) a great system setup in my car, but the head unit was cannibalistic when it came to cassettes. We really are spoiled in our hobby.........

    What Are You Listening To?

"Go-Go's Feast" is probably my favorite on this album!

    Awesome mix tape volume 1.

Or me, I don't recall any cassette (at least what I had or saw during those days) having a metal casing. I always thought the "metal" was referring to the tape itself, like Zing posted about. My first "cassette player" was one of those all in one setups that had a dual cassette, record player...

I want that on a shirt................

    Awesome mix tape volume 1.

Most of my cassettes are gone. I may have a few mix tapes somewhere. I remember one I had of a lot of tracks I recorded from the radio. I'd like to find it, see what songs I had, then make that a playlist on my squeezebox. Memory lane................

    I miss silver

Black is where it's at. I do like silver, but on the older gear like what's pictured, not what was coming out in the late 90s early 2000s. Everything in my rack is black, except for my DVD-recorder. It's silver, stands out like a sore thumb, and just looks so cheap to me. Of course, I'm also...

It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

I agree Jeff about the video quality. I'm sure even the DVD versions that were out some ten years ago looked better than the LD I have, but I remember reading on S&V at that time, the laserdisc was more complete than the DVDs in those days. That was one reason I never cared to get the movie on...

    Peter King on CD

As some of you may know, I've become a huge fan of Peter King. He's an afrobeat/jazz multi-instrumentalist from Nigeria. First time I heard him was on a track called "African Dialects" from an afrobeat comp CD my brother had. The guy has about, from what I've gathered, 14 albums in his career...

    What Are You Listening To?

I sincerely hope they release a Bluray/DVD of this tour. Elvis Costello was the opening act. Not his biggest fan, but I thought his show was great too.

    v8peters.....WOW your Library !

I love looking at album porn. I know Dennie, Flint, Jeff, and a few others have some huge music collections. I'm sure I'd be like a kid at a candy store if I were at their houses.

    Qello- Music Streaming Service ?

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, seems to be a pretty good source for old classic rock concerts. I have it on my Roku, but have not subscribed to it.

    What Are You Listening To?

^^^^ Got to see those guys live in Nashville about two months ago. Holy shit, were they awesome! Probably the best show I've heard to date.

It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

I have the Criterion Edition on Bluray, but I haven't had the chance to watch it yet. I also have the Criterion version on Laserdisc, so I'm hoping the Bluray is the same or better restored version of it.

    allflac.com Good sight?

A friend told me about this sight, but my antivirus doesn't seem to like it. I know of HDtracks, so thought I would ask about this one. Been listening to a Umphrey's McGee album on there (the London Session) that sounds pretty cool, and thinking about downloading since the flac tracks are only...

    Deep Tracks

Probably the most underrated track on that album, if not their whole catalog. Excellent choice Heeman.

The Muppets are ruined for me...

I thought this was coming on tonight. I guess the premier was last night? Haven't seen it yet, but I just hope it's not too crude. I love crude humor, but I have Family Guy and shows like that for the crude stuff when I want it.
