I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
So I slipped the Denon 1312 from my son's room into the rack and wired it up and it seems to be working...for 5.1 only. I can't seem to get a test tone out of the sub so I am not sure what is happening there. Will fiddle some more. For my family get together it will be fine. In the meantime...
Speaking of projectors...truth be told(before my prepro apparently crapped out) I was thinking that my next upgrade in the HT would be a 4k projector. Sigh.
That being said...it seems I really have no idea what the latest technologies actually are!! I have heard of Dolby Atmos. What else is there on the audio processing front?
I have bought used speakers..they still speak. I have bought used amps...they still amplify. Buying a used avr or prepro seems like you are paying for old technology? I can't seem to get by that!!!
I've seen that one!! Intriguing. Didn't you used to own an Anthem?
Edit: A little research tells me that the AVM 60 is from 2017. I guess I worry about caps drying out and that sort of thing. I'm conflicted cause it seems like a nice prepro for a decent price and the guy is an hour from my house.
AVR's with 7.1 preouts are scarce as hen's teeth. My first two receivers were both Marantz which I was very pleased with. I saw the Marantz Cinema 70s can turn off circuitry and has enough preouts to fit the bill. Just kind of kills me to pay almost 2k CAD for a receiver..and I won't even be...
My Integra DHC 40.1 is no longer producing audio. I have read that it may in fact be the HDMI board? Either I have it repaired or I replace it with something else. I have a call out to someone locaI to see if and how much to repair. But for shits and giggles I have been looking at replacements...
I'm playing Amon. I am only on level 17. Had a minor surgery recently which has kept me off the PC. Plus, as mentioned previously....I am REALLY slow at this gaming thing!! But..I am enjoying it. Contrary to all the reports it seems to be running fine on my older pc.
Started it yesterday around 1pm. My video card was less than stellar..about mid 30's FPS. My son came home from university and made some tweaks and now I get high 50's sometimes low 60s's. This is all with graphics set to LOW..so less than stellar. May have to buy a better graphics card. SO...
I've played 565 hours and 13 minutes...what does that make me?
If you go by the website "how long to beat" it says a BL3 completionist with dlc's included would be about 150 hours??
I was a little freaked when I watch someone doing some gameplay of BL4 on Youtube and he said alot of the key mappings have been changed. My adled brain will NOT be able to adapt!!! ;)
Yes, I have played them all including Wonderlands. I have played BL3 almost 600 hours!! :( Let's just say I'm not very good and I like to roam everywhere!!! I am a little worried that my computer may be a bit of a dog though. I-5 9400f and a radeon rx580.
BUMP
So roughly six years after BL3 we have BL4 about to drop!! I will probably buy immediately as I was addicted to BL3. My son thinks I am an idiot for paying full price. I may be...but damn I love this franchise. Truth be told I am not much of a gamer but for some reason this game appeals...
Pulled this off AVSForum:
I'm an ATI dealer and I haven't heard anything about them closing down. Don't forget, they not only make products for their lines, but also tons of amps OEMed to other well-known brands.
The location that you see as "permanently closed" is the old location. As...
