Do I have to match ATMOS speakers to surrounds or fronts?

The title pretty much says it all. I am thinking ahead as far as Atmos configuration is concerned. Right now I have my PSB Platinums doing LCR duty and some Axiom M3's doing surround LR and BACK. Do I match to fronts, surrounds or what?
I am a bit confused at this point. Is it even necessary to match?
I ask because the place I will buy the AVR from also sells speakers (bundle deal for better pricing perhaps?) but they sell Paradigm?
That would be introducing yet a third speaker brand?
Thoughts?

I don't think it'll matter that much. If you want to try to match a little, I'd go with the same tweeter material and a similar sound signature as the surrounds.

Like was said here, you want to try to timbre match best you can. I don't know how much difference or problems it would cause but I would imagine it makes sense to try to closely match the sensitivity and impedance across the board.

I think I have managed to find a match. Turns out Axiom makes an in ceiling speaker with the same titanium tweeter and aluminum woofer as my M3 surrounds. Problem is, why are all the grills white. My HT has black acoustic tile ceilings. I assume they may be paintable but how does one paint these and not clog up all the holes??

PS: These stupid things are pricey too!!
