Can’t wait, it was your review of Legacy in IMAX that prompted me to take my sons to see it a day before it left theaters. At the time there were no IMAX theaters in Delaware so we had to drive a little over an hour and it did not disappoint. Still one of my fondest movie watching memories.
Wife and I stumbled upon The Righteous Gemstones on Max, I believe created and/or written by Danny McBride. If you’re familiar with him, it’s more of his typical oblivious stupidity and silliness. The humor isn’t too far removed from something like Fargo (more the TV series than the movie)...
While TVs have become incredibly affordable, I disagree, with so many flicks formatted in cinescope, it’s near criminal to give up a third of the screen real estate in a large % of dedicated rooms. Cinescope should exceed the 16:9 format in size, not sacrifice a third of the screen for black...

Saw G x K tonight with wife and stepson. I wasn’t expecting much at all and was actually enjoying it more than expected……UNTIL…..right after Kong gets his ”upgrade”….for me it went right to shit at that point and I was counting down to leave. My stepson, who’s 7, loved it and my wife enjoyed it...
It may not look like much, but it’s a 15% decrease, not insignificant imo. And if a lot of your content is in CinemaScope/Letterbox, you won’t even be using all of that smaller size.
^ I would not have made the connection without doing the same if he hadn’t already been in The Falcon and Winter Soldier and I knew who he was from that show.
I’d probably use a few thin strips of 3m double sided tape. Once it sets it’ll hold pretty damn well and anything else will leave just as much residue.
