Joker: Folie à Deux Teaser Trailer

I had no interest in a sequel being produced, but I’ll admit I’ve done a complete 180 and I am really intrigued.
I was in the exact same camp but this looks must better then I hoped/expected. I am all in favor of some more grown up comic book movies. We could use some more after the last decade's onslaught of Marvelish fluff. It's also very important to say "Marvelish fluff" out loud like Billy Crystal just FYI.

Saw Joker sequel yesterday… interesting movie… the reviews are pretty universally horrible. I didn’t hate it so much as everyone seems to be saying. It’s very far removed from a comic book movie in fact there were very few if any references at all to the traditional Joker storyline or mythology. It’s more of a psychological prison/courtroom drama than a comic book movie. If I were judging it as a comic movie in the succession of recent Batman movies I understand (and probably agree) why the reviews were so bad. But as a unique stand alone psychodrama it is still a pretty solid movie IMO if not pretty impressive.

I thought as a follow up to the original, it was pretty pointless. Production value was high, performances were fine, score was good, story was incredibly lacking and I thought at times, undermined the first. Glad I saw it, will probably never see it again.

Agreed. Good performances. Pointless and lackluster sequel. There were a couple of great opportunities IMO to steer back onto the rails but it never happened.
