A "bad connection" question

A few months ago I dropped KomKrap and went with Dish network for TV only and an OTA internet provider. For the most part, it works well.

Tonight we have some wonderfully mean storms blowing through, and the Dish signal is going fine at times, but at others it goes out, or shows digital hash, etc. I'm leaving the TV on as it is screwing up commercials too :D but it brings up a question: does sending a messy signal through your TV stress it in any way? Being digital, I'm thinking probably not, but I don't know. I have no problem turning it off, or watching a disk or the OTA internet (which the storm doesn't seem to affect), until the storm blows through, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

Having been a Dish customer for over 10 years and dealing with my fair share of storms, I wouldn't sweat it...

There is zero chance of harm to your TV from a dirty satellite signal.

Thanks guys.
The storms blew through, and after switching to PBS, had a perfect picture the whole broadcast. Switched back to CBS, and the pic went to shit again, so it wasn't the storm at all, CBS is having issues tonight.

But its good to know I'm not frying my TV. :)
