I had a Technics turntable for many years too, not that model.

Had a three-shelf CD rack hanging on the wall, the nails it was hung on weren't strong enough, bent down over a period of months, and the shelf unit fell. That was the end of my Technics turntable. :cry:
 
Mine's the SL-BD20. Still going strong (though I don't play it much).
