Audio Annex Houston GTG - The JeffMackwood Challenge

Modern recording technology has the potential to be superior to the old stuff in every way. The sound of modern recordings is a product of the decisions made by the producer of the recording. If it sounds compressed, that was a decision made by someone. Kate Bush's Aerial CD is as dynamic as it can get for a rock (like) recording and it was produced in the 2000s. You absolutely cannot go by the date to judge the quality of a recording.
 
I only made reference to the date because the premise of the challenge is that the vast majority of recent releases are over-compressed. It was an attempt to show that there are many good releases in modern times.
