Audio Note

I am wondering if anyone has heard this company live. They seem to be amazing and so unassuming; especially compared to other speakers that produce 360 degree sound, like MBL.
Just wondering.

Send a link to these "360 degree speakers" because my experience with Audio Note was very decent basic two way boxes.

Yes, they are...I misrepresented that. I saw a video and they were described as creating a 360 effect. It was said that because they are next to the walls they "use the room" to create that 360 imaging?

And you used the words 'very decent', does that mean, in your opinion, they are a little hyped up?

A little? hehehe.... all speakers are hyped up, even the best ones.

That principle has been around for a long time. With Alison speakers and others after.

Personally (as in "in my opinion"), forcing a broader sound coverage by increasing reflections just makes the sound muddier and more "smeared". Sure the stereo, or expansive, effect might be neat, but it doesn't make a guitar or ride cymbal more clear - it does the opposite.

I heard them at AXPONA 2015, thought they sounded very good for a two way box type speaker. Plus they used some diffusors on the side walls, they seemed well set up. No 3D effect for me though, if I was to get a two way. YG Acoustics Carmel speaker would be on the list if you can afford it, which I can't. Scansonic, Vapor Audio, Salk Sound, Ascend Acoustics, all have versions with ribbon tweeters and some with Accuton ceramic midrange drivers, which together create some special sound to me anyway.

For 3D audio effects, I'll stay with my dipole, part line source, Magnepan 3.6's with lots of room acoustic treatments. Which I purchased used for $2,400 with Mye Stands.

I have also heard the MBL Radialstaler, pretty impressive. However since I am not Johnathan Valin of Absolute Sound, they wouldn't let me play my own music. So I have some questions if I would really like them or not. Some of the 360 degree speakers I have heard in the past, (DBX Soundfield 1) have that good imaging everywhere sound but not awesome imaging that can be achieved with some speakers in a good room at the sweetspot.
