Auro 3D vs DTS X and Dolby Atmos

Found some Auro 3D videos on youtube, the first has a demo of regular 5.1 surround sound, and with the Auro 3D height speakers turned on. I was pretty impressed with the effect, wish I had an Auro 3D theatre closer to me. Chicago is about 90 miles away so maybe some day soon. While I liked Dolby Atmos at the theatre, I wasn't super impressed, hope Auro 3D is better.

Maybe if Hollywood concentrated on simply making good movies with ORIGINAL ideas, we wouldn't need all this bullshit. No Amos/DTSx in Casablanca, and it didn't seem to hurt that movie. :teasing-neener:

Remember when soundhound told us that 98% of the info for DD was thrown out. I'm pretty happy with my little 5.1 system at home.

Actually creativity is free, but extremely hard to come by.

Hold on there Mr. You really expect Hollywood to produce both, good movies and original ideas? That's a bit over the top, maybe ease in with one of the two, then follow up with the other in say a 20 years.

I saw a promo for Pride and Prejudice versus Zombies and it was at that moment I lost all hope in Hollywood coming out with anything of the likes of Gone With The Wind ever again.

I dunno, Pride and Prejudice verses Zombies at least sounds _ORIGINAL_! Probably utter shit, but original....
