This one deserved its own thread. I was a bit disappointed in Mr. Ferry there for awhile, he'd kind've abandoned what I consider his signature sound, and delved into Tin Pan Alley, Dylan, and torch songs. That stopped with the release of Olympia, and Avonmore has more of the same, gorgeous!! One track lists nine guitarists, another eight! And yet, it's all tasty, not typical guitar overload a la skynyrd. They include Johnny Marr, Neil Hubbard, Nile Rodgers :music-rockout: and even a guest solo by Mark Knopfler! :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout: Other guests include Marcus Miller, Flea, and Maceo Parker.
A winter storm is blowing in (may be shoveling tomorrow), rainy, windy and wet outside, perfect day to curl up with some new Bryan Ferry music.
