Saw this special was coming on Palladia after 60 Minutes, so I tuned in.
I remember two things about BOA from what, junior high? "Unc Elija", and the cardboard "pagoda" in Musicland (!) that had four small speakers set up, demonstrating the new "quad" technology; the tune I remember hearing for the first time was "Mutant of the Monster", by BOA!
I'd always considered them a "southern rock" band, especially with 3 guitarists, but watching just the first 19 minutes of this show, they had a lot of "glam" mixed in, and probably the most obscene tight pants (beating out Van Halen or the hair metal guys); ick.
A good one to watch on Palladia, not worth buying or even renting… :?
