Blizzard of Ozz, Re-Mastered version

Pretty much any metal fan already owns this as do I but when in Wal-Mart this week I noticed it in their $5 CD bin and looked it over. Its a 2002 re-mastered version that was re-recorded with the original vocals and guitars (nobody replaces Randy!) but the bass and drum tracks are new. Rob Trujillo (Metallica) did the bass tracks and Mike Bordin (Faith no More) did the drums.

What do I think of it??? It is really, REALLY good. I will still hold on to the Sarzo/Aldridge original but this just sounds so much better that I dont think the original will get much playtime anymore. Well worth $5.

Cool Walls,
If I remeber corrrectly I think they remastered all of Ozzy's solo stuff at about that time. I have the remastered Bark at the Moon.
I did not however realize they had changed musicians. I will check it out when I get home from work tomorrow.

One of the best sounding CD's I own is Ozzy's Speak of the Devil (Live).

You can hear every instrument, drum, cymbal etc... The kick drum has punch and the guitar sounds amazing.
It is all Sabbath songs and was recorded after RR died. Brad Gillis (Night Ranger) does an amazing job of filling in on guitar.

I'll check out that remaster, I love Sabbath/Ozzy.
