Bluetooth adapter to send music out of laptop

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a Bluetooth adapter to plug into my laptop, or stereo, (doesn't have BT) to send music, movies to Bluetooth headphones. Any Suggestions?

I was looking around Amazon, but got confused on which ones can send and which just receive.

Thanks!

Does your laptop have Bluetooth already? All of mine purchased over the past 5 years have BT built in already.

If you need a BT transmitter, get one with support for BT 4.1 and aptX.

No it does not.
That's what I am looking for, but how will I know if the transmitter sends info or just receives it, like the kind that come with keyboards or a mouse?

Look for the word “transmitter” or “transceiver”.

There are lots of options on Amazon in the $25-$50 range.
