Man... that seems like a very long time for delivery.

I've been contemplating buying a set of cans in this price range, so I can't wait to hear your review.

They have been on back-order.
When I ordered them on 3/6 from CDW each site I checked had that model listed as 'out of stock'
or 'backordered'.
CDW notified me on 3/19 they were backordered, with an approximate
in-stock date of April 30
I still have not received mine. . . . . Sony production snag maybe?

I ordered mine from www.JR.com They told me they were supposed to receive them originally at the end of March. Then I was informed at the end of April.

WOW could be good or bad. We're going to need something more to go by.

Examples:

WOW, these headphones totally kick ass for 100 bucks.

or

WOW, for 100 bucks I would of liked at least a hint of detail, these things suck ass.

I have been listening to the Sony MDR-7506's for about 4 hours. Let me just say they are extremely comfortable. They seem to be well built. The Ear pads are soft, and they fit not to tight, and not to loose. They fold up which I think is great for storage, or travel.

My first thoughts was how extremely surprised I was at the extended Low Bass. These headphones IMO have a very balanced frequency response from highs to the lows.
I was also surprised by the clean, transparent and non-fatiguing treble.

Just some of the music I have been listening to tonight

Brooke Annibale - Enemy
Shelby Lynne - The Look of Love
Enya - Book of Days
Robin McKelle - Night & Day
Diana Krall - S.Wonderful
Etta James - Stormy Weather
Andrea Bocelli - Besame Mucho
Blackmore's Night - Vagabond (Make A Princess of Me)
Maroon 5 - One More Night
Pink Floyd - Us and Them, Comfortably Numb
The Doors - Soul Kitchen
The Allman Brothers - The Same Thing (Live) OUTSTANDING

What was the source and amp?

Did you try using a portable player?

I plugged into my Denon AVR-4806 receiver, and also my phone Samsung Galaxy S.

No I have never used my amp :text-nocomment:

All evil purchases must be accompanied by pictures, and yes, Sony MDR 7506 qualifies as an evil purchase.
