CD storage sleeves that hold artwork---Flint? Anybody?

I want to eventually downsize the physical space my CDs take up, but I don't want to throw away the artwork. I seem to recall someone had a favorite brand sleeve they used----Flint, maybe? A google search put these Jazz Loft sleeves at the top. Anyone here use 'em?

Kazaam, we must be brothers in an alternate universe or something cuz just today I have started searching for the same thing you are!! I am trying to get rid of these flexi racks I have made to hold cd's and am hoping to keep them out of sight separate from the jewel cases but still keeping the inside sleeves with artwork and lyrics. Freaky Deaky man!!!

I believe DiscSox is what Flint uses.

Based on Flint's reccomendation I use DiscSox for my DVDs.

A little pricey but very nice.

I think so! Now if you also had a coney-styled dog for lunch then I'm really going to start wondering. (I haven't eaten one of those in years since I'm not too big on hot dogs, so today was a rarity.)

:music-rockout:

DiscSox, eh? Does a nice. But you are right about that price. Thanks for the help guys.

Just hoping to find what's out there. I really need to do something eventually. Ever since I ripped my CDs losslessly into a computer, I just keep 'em in a bunch of bankers boxes. But I'd sure like to shrink stuff down further to help open up storage space. I just have too much crap.

I'm cheap. I think I will probably go with the Jazzloft ones. The way I figure it , I rarely look at the liner notes so once they are ripped they will just sit anyway. Funny, how when I was a kid I would put on an album (are we calling it vinyl now?) stare at the album cover, read lyrics, musicians names, producers, where it was produced...the whole enchilada!!!
Kazaam, the Jazzloft has a sale on now, for you its $36 for 200 sleeves with free shipping, lucky me, its $44 for the same 200 with free shipping!!!

I took the plunge. Going with the Jazzloft ones for my CDs.

Probably not as nice as the others but the price is right and I think they'll work. Like you, I rarely ever look at the Liner notes once I rip the CD. But I don't want to throw them away.

That said... If I decide to do anything with DVDs, then I'll maybe lean toward DiscSox.

I just ordered a couple of these from amazon, hell for $10 it's worth a look...

I think I'll just build my next rack when I run out of room with my current one.

Finally got my order today. I'm pretty happy with the Jazzloft sleeves. As I suspected, they're kind of limpy; but they'll serve my purposes perfectly!

For now I'm firmly rooted in the past. I keep my CDs in the cases with their artwork - even through they've all been ripped to a server.

I am pressed for space somewhat, and may eventually have to go the more compact route, but I would note that a $69 IKEA Billy bookcase, with three extra shelves (@$9.99 each), will hold something like 1300 CDs in their cases, by my count!

How long did they take to reach you ? Mine were shipped on Sept 8 and I am still waiting..of course mine have to go through customs.

They were a little slower than I'm used to. Interestingly, Jazzloft wrote me via email that my order had shipped the very next day after I placed my order. But, according to the tracking info, Fed Ex didn't actually get the package until 4 days later.

So in total it took me 10 days start to finish before it arrived on my doorstep. I suspect it might have taken slightly longer had I gone with USPS vs Fed Ex. Well, maybe.

Ain't nothing wrong with that, to be sure!

Heck... I used to love the look of my CDs on my Boltz media racks. Loved looking at the liner notes and everything whilst I listened to music. And, to this day, if I ever were to see someone else's listening room all decked out fancy with entire walls of Ikea bookcases, filled with CDs, well, I'd probably be pretty impressed.

Got my Jazzloft sleeves today. Took 11 days..not so bad. They are pretty much what I expected. I know what I will be doing for the next few evenings while watching the idiot box!!

I hear that! I've done about 100 of 'em so far.

And I recently found that Staples has some cheap cardboard shipping boxes that fit the CD sleeves pretty good. (The box measures 6x6x12.) The only downside is that I must use packing tape to seal the top/bottom. But since I don't plan on accessing the discs very often, I can seal the box shut with tape, I figure.

:text-bump: I'm thinking of getting some of the jazz loft sleeves, do you guys still like them and would you recommend them?
