ironically enough, these movies were pretty recent, considering the age of CGI.

i was going to buy scorpion king back then but always remember that terrible scene.

thanks for the video botch! it was entertaining!

I'm completely unfamiliar with "killer meat balls", but I gotta have it!

That one from 'Kidnap' literally brought tears to my eyes! In fairness the ones from the 'made for TV' sci-fi channel movies shouldn't count. They are purposely campy and low rate. Star Wars OTOH, well George Lucas should be ashamed of himself.

I admit - my wife watched a lot of seefee movies during the weekend, unless she gets to watch her showtime women movies...

Sharknado, Sharkwolf etc... oi vey. so... 90210...

What's funny, is that some of these seemed pretty good at the time of the release of the film. I don't remember the cgi effects being bad in Lost in Space, but they do look pretty dated today. Wasn't the scene from A New Hope added in after it's rerelease in the late 90's?

The footage was shot during ANH with a live actor playing Jabba. The scene was edited out for time and story reasons. Jabba was later re-imagined as the big wormy puppet. They added the CGI Jabba and a buch of other mostly useless CGI effects for a subsequent DVD release.

I guess this would be a good place to re-post FZ's Cheepnis!

For me The Langoliers was one of Stephen Kings best novels (short story from his Four past Midnight novel) the movie was so God awful that I can't put into words how pissed I was when some of the movies based on his novels turn out so good but yet this was so horrid. I loved "Stand by Me" based on "The Body" from his Four Seasons novel. Obviously The Shawshank Redemption from "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption". The Green Mile from his novella series of the same name and of course The Shining and Misery. So much could've been done to make The Langoliers but it was a Made for TV movie.

Now if they'd get off their asses and make "The Long Walk" when Stephen King was writing as Richard Bachman. Shame that one will never ever be made because the world is so damn politically correct. Now that was an awesome short story.
