After about 7 years in Genesis, Phil grew bored and sought out new opportunities, hence all his side projects, including Brand-X, solo career, and auditions for The Who and Led Zepplin (among others) and appearances on hundreds of other famous artists' albums.
Kenny plays this part damn near note for note from the original studio recording, which is extremely impressive.
