Double blind study on CD Vs. MP3

That validates my experience that there is little to no meaningful difference between high bit-rate MP3 and CD sound quality.

Interesting. It would seem that unless someone is a particularly skilled listener then a 256 or 320 kb MP3 is going to sound just as good as the regular CD.

I love that they used Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name of" for the Rock portion.

Made me grin, also.

Rope

I have all of my music ripped to either 256kb AAC or 320kb MP3 and I honestly cannot tell the difference. I have the odd piece where I think I might be able to hear a difference listening carefully on my main system, but I am not completely sure that it isn't my imagination either.

Flac for me. I like the convenience of MP3, but I want the best resolution for my home system.

I struggled with the headaches of dealing with lossless audio for years before I realized that I actually couldn't tell the difference anyway.
