Perhaps I should've put this in the "what are you listening to" thread, but FoW are such a force I wanted to post a separate thread (I think I may have done a thread on them back at S&V).
It's rare that a favorite band has a release and I don't know about it ahead of time, but this one slipped right by me; I read a review in Sound & Vision in my hotel room down in Tooele last night during Reserve duty, picked up a copy on the way home (on sale, $9.99, w00t!)
I'm just playing it again for the second time, will probably follow the lyrics song-for-song this time (FoW's strong point). The recording is good, but nothing great. It'll be a few days before I can compare it to their masterpiece, Welcome Interstate Managers, which I rank equal to Bridge over Troubled Water, its that good; but I know already its at least the second-best thing they've ever done.
