I do not have anywhere near the experience with tongs in my hand as our BBQ'ing brethren Deacon and Tee, but I do have years of experience putting out fires. I have even extinguished many BBQ grill fires, other peoples not my own.

I will not discount this method as I have no experience placing a (seemingly) dry towel on a baby on fire on a BBQ grill, but I would not endorse it either. I would stick with good ole water. Apply it liberally until there is no more fire. This method, as explained in the "Fire SUV" video, has proven it's effectiveness thousands of times over.

And, yes, I do have a "Fire SUV".
 
I was being feci, er fesich, uhh a smartass, Randy. I just thought it was funny that a doll (a wet one at that) caught fire so easily but a tea towel didn't! :laughing:
