Good Article on HDMI Cables

It looks like my 6 ft $5.99 for 4 via BUY.com looks good. Guess I'll find out when i finally get my new hardware. i thought my only issue is the 3D compatable. i thought the cable needed to be 1.4 for 3 D... as i read through the comments i saw this.

1.3, 1.4 etc is not an HDMI cable spec, it is an interface spec. This is definitely confusing, but there is no such thing as an HDMI 1.4 *cable* just a 1.4 connection. An old Category 2 (high-speed) cable will pass 3D/1.4 just fine.

In other words, gear needs to be HDMI 1.4 (for 3D and so on) but the cable just needs to be High-Speed to be able to pass all the data. Cables are HDMI spec neutral.

Thanks for mentioning this, I should have said that in the
article.

HDMI made easy, either they work, or don't.

The last few HDMI cables I bought were cheapies from Amazon (6-8 bucks/cable) and they work just fine.
