and I am now ready to get something with HDMI. You know me, I love a good deal. But it has to peform well too. I don't need 3d and I have foudn over the years, I don't need my AVR to do alot of tricks. With that in mind can anyone give me a good reason why I should not buy this receiver?

Here is what I like about it:

1. Price
2. Stated power vs thd and channel driven
3. Removable power cord so I can buy a shorty.
4. Power outlets so I can plug in my Behringer for zone 2 work.
5. Preamp outs if I ever want more power.

I will be hooking up my HTPC and maybe my networked bluray. Games and other stuff go upstairs in the bonus room. this will be for use in the downstairs living room, which, until we get settled, will be our main system.

I have never owned a Denon before but they seem to have a great reputation. I plan on tryingto control the whole system with a samsung galaxy tab 2.

Up stairs is still up in the air. Our new house is way more than we had planned on and I know we can afford it but just to be cautious I don't want to blow my nut on (new couch, projector, etc...) until we have been in the house for at east 6 months.

Step it up a little Max and you can get a Denon with "airplay", which is a cool feature.

No love for apple here. As far as that feature is concerned I will be completely networked and will have no issues getting things to play on that system.

I have yet to come across anyone that has had "no issues" with playing content on a networked receiver. You may be the first.

I have "no issues" but all my peripherals are Apple products... :D

Hurry my friend........it says only 1 left......keep us posted.

Ordered. Didn't see where there was one left but I needed a reason and that was enough for me.
