ive listened to all your advise here and (over there) and have bought (is that a word?) blue jean hdmi cables.2 questions,is 240 hertz hdmi cables for 240 hertz tvs marketing hype? and are the hdmi cables that come with hd cable box ok or should that be upgraded to blue jean cable. all my lengths are 3 or 4 ft, thanks

I think the short answer is: try it, if it works, you're good. The update rate for a TV has zero to do with the data coming over the HDMI cable, that's pure BS.

The only difference in HDMI cables, if we're speaking 1.3, is the price. The new HDMI 1.4 used for 3D is supposed to be "high speed", whatever that means. I believe Towen talked with the folks at Blue Jeans Cable, and they stated their cables would support 3D applications. Don't sweat the small shyt!
