For 25ft runs, would a 24awg HDMI "standard speed" be as good as a 22awg HDMI "High speed" cable? 7 dollar difference..

I think you would need the higher speed cable for Bluray bandwidth, and for only $7 I would buy the bigger cable.

25 feet is a significant distance. I'd buy the larger cables.

Ok, I have a question. I am planning on mounting my plasma on an 1.5" steel pipe which will also act as a cable chase for the power to the tv, the HDMI cable to the tv and for the speaker cable for my center channel.

What preparations should I make to prevent interference? Wrap the power cord in tin foil?

None, I have my HDMI cable running through a 1.5" steel conduit that my projector is mounted to ...No issues at all, the cable has internal shielding anyway...
