I am a descendent of Beethoven and Liszt!

... musically speaking. I found out from my current piano teacher (who was a concert pianist, trained at Peabody here in Baltimore) that there's a direct line from me back to Beethoven himself, from teacher to student. This is pretty amazing to me to contemplate.

My mom, a lifelong concert piano teacher, has a "family tree" also going all the way back to Beethoven.

That's really cool stuff, and since my mom taught me, I too am a descendent of Beethoven AND Liszt (she descends down from Liszt).
