I too, have a confession to make....

A lot of country today is not traditional country (ie Dwight Yoakum) and kind've filled a void for many rock listeners whose favorite stations started playing too much rap & hiphop.

Ill confess ive always loved country music but way way lean towards traditional. Some country pop i can tolerate. Ive always enjoyed these guys below.

Hank Williams III sounds a lot like Sr more than any of the Williams after. He is a lil raw but kinda like it.

When I listen to country music today and see how the old guys and gals have been kicked to the curb and cant even get radio play i kinda agree with ol George here.

Ahhh but Dwight is very traditional he was influenced in the California sound by none other the Buck Owens that he describes as a major influence and his hero. Listen to these two and you will see the Bakersfield influence on Dwight and see striking similarities in each other.

Buck was'nt some buffoon with a red white and blue guitar on Hee Haw this was a true legend and giant of country music.

RIP Buck

I may have written that poorly, I mentioned Dwight as an example of traditional country; yes, he's definitely a disciple of BO.
