IB sub question

In the adjacent space that your IB sub drivers are mounted into, does it matter what material the room is made of or what else is occupying the space?
I'd like to find out if there is much of an acoustic difference between two spaces of the same shape and volume but different otherwise...such as attic space filled with insulation versus an empty brick walled storage room or the like.
 
It doesn't matter what is in the volume of space behind the woofers, as long as there is no pressure on the cone motion (such as being extremely close to a back wall).
 
Awesome I wanted to know about that...i have only about 10" space directly behind where I've considered. It has only approximately 270 cubic feet too.
