In the market for new receiver

Well I want to update my receiver to one that has HDMI in/out.
I have loved my Harmon Kardon paired with my Klipsch Reference speakers, but alas I need to update.

I would like to go as inexpensive as possible...now engaged and with a house, my disposable audio funds go to garden beds and patio furniture :scared-eek:

I do want a good remote, with universal capabilities
One thing I liked about the HK is the "night mode", it would keep the volume pretty even to tame the explosions and still hear dialog.

was looking at this one (but no experience with Marantz):

and also this Yammy:

thoughts? Input? suggestions?

thanks!

Marantz and Klipsch, a match made in Heaven. :angelic-green:

If you like the H/K sound with your Klipsch Reference, I think you'll be quite happy with the Marantz and Klipsch.

I've heard Yamaha and Klipsch don't "mate" as well!

Keep us posted,

I just bought a RS-V377 Yammie and pretty pleased. But I'm also a Marantz fan & that Marantz has better speaker terminals, pre-outs for mains, & a HDMI input on the front panel. Don't be shy of a factory refurbished....you will have a year of warranty, plenty of time to check it out.
What did you get ?
