Is there a glitch with Samsung TV’s and ARC soundbars randomly powering on via HDMI-CEC? Or maybe it’s just Sony soundbars on Samsung TV’s?

Just throwing this out there if anyone has experienced this personally or knows what’s up.

A quick web search results in some combination of Samsung TVs and Sony soundbars. And maybe the oddball related (or unrelated?) issue between Samsung and Sonos. I’m sure I could find plenty of other oddball glitches of all brands, probably. It’s the Internet, after all. Anyway…

My mom wants a new TV this summer. It got me looking and, although probably a cheaper base model TV would be just fine, part of me started looking at upper-mid/high models like the Samsung QN90A with its mini-LED backlight. And at that point, although a sound bar might not even be necessary, I started thinking about sound bars. And then while reading about a low-profile, cheap basic Sony sound bar I came across a review that claimed about some ARC HDMI-Anynet glitch Samsung refuses to fix. Allegedly, I suppose. And so from there I went down a rabbit hole and came back here. It’s not a big deal. Just curious.
