Sultans of Swing with Mark's guitar track soloed. Mark finger-picks, which is unusual for rock guitarists but allows all kinds of little tics, beat, and scrapes on other strings that really add to the life of the track. He also uses a bit of chorus pedal in a few select places, something I haven't noticed from the album.
My favorite guitarist of all time, and this is a good example why. :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout:

What an incredible song and phenomenal guitar work by a master.

I remember hearing that song played on the radio one day on the local classic rock station and after iit ended the DJ said "One of these days that Mark Knopfler guy is going to learn to play that guitar". For whatever reason his humor resonated with me and I have never forgotten that, crack up every time I think of that.
