Magnepan recently came out with a statement speaker, the 30.7. And is taking it to dealers all across the country, starting with Seattle, WA. Magnepan sending out emails to Stereophile subscribers within a 100 mile radius of the events. Or you could follow forums like the Planer Asylum or Audio Circle's Planer sub forum.
Johnathan Valin thought that it competes with all the big league speakers, which cost many times it's $30K price. It is four pieces, with bass/mid bass panels, separate from the midrange and tweeter panels. So you can place the bass panel close to a wall for best low frequency response, while the tweeter midrange can be played in their optimal postion. And also avoid the vibrations from the bass panel.
I am really eager to hear this speaker, but between the sheer size and cost I don't think I'll ever own one. Plus I am really happy with my JBL 4367's, with their compression horn sound and 15" woofer.
